Conclusion
There is a variety of Non-CAM and CAM interventions that have been used to help reduce anxiety in MRI patients, but more intervention strategies are necessary22. There has been a plethora of interventions employed to combat MRI anxiety, with more needed that focuses on improving the patient’s experience and the patient–technologist relationship22,30,127. A survey of experienced MRI technologists concluded that while many interventions have been employed, including cognitive techniques, utilizing shorter and wider machine bores, patient education, pre-scan visits, and the use of music, anxiety is still a significant problem21,22,97,127.
